With over 14 years of experience in sports marketing and recreation management, I am a passionate and dedicated leader who strives to create and deliver engaging and impactful programs, events, and facilities for the community. As the Director of Recreation at City of Madeira Beach, I oversee and manage a diverse and dynamic department that offers a combination of youth athletic programming, adult cultural programs and fitness classes, community special events, after school care and summer camp, and facility rental. I also serve as a non-voting board member for the Madeira Beach Youth Baseball and Softball Association and the Friends of Madeira Beach Parks and Recreation. I am a current member of the Florida Recreation and Park Association (FRPA) and the Florida Festivals and Events Association (FFEA), and I value the opportunities to network, learn, and collaborate with other professionals in the field.In my current role, I leverage my skills in marketing communications, social networking, and social media marketing to promote and enhance the visibility and awareness of the recreation department and its offerings. I also work closely with the Director of PR/Marketing, who reports to me, to design, price, and order all the signage and collateral for the department. Additionally, I am responsible for the parks and facility maintenance management for the Recreation Center as well as the athletic fields and facilities located on City property. I ensure that the facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained, and that they meet the needs and expectations of the users and the public. I also coordinate and supervise the staff and volunteers who assist with the daily operations and the special events of the department. I am proud of the work that we do as a team to enrich the lives of the residents and visitors of Madeira Beach.
