About Jay Joslin

Jay Joslin wears many hats. Two of the most obvious are; the hat of a skilled and fast thinking clinician, and the other as a ringleader of a wide variety of memorable public experiences- from ritual to instructional. He considers himself an eternal student of the mystery and wonder of being alive, and has undertaken studies of consciousness, comparative theology, systems theories and anything under the umbrella of psychology. He is the author of three prose collections; One for the Nameless (Invoke Yourself Press 2009), Rainbow Over Crossroads (Solus Press 2005), and Digging the Immaterial (iUniverse/Barnes & Noble 2003). His forthcoming work "Strange Alms: Lessons For The Unexpecting Wayfarer" will be released soon as a unprecedented approach to dynamic incorporations of a particular Systems Theory into daily life, revealed by way of magical journeys through Asia and the Americas. As an ordained minister at the Jubilee! Community in Asheville, NC, Jay facilitates celebrations, weddings, baptisms/blessings, and remembrances. Jay acts locally, has done animation voiceover work, is an recognized nature/abstract photographer, and is widely considered to be a warm-hearted goofball. He also knows his way around audio/visual technology, which is groovy.

Or something like that, with dry jokes along and every range of emotion in between. In his other interchangeable and long-term role, he's responsible for creating ritual space, management of special events (including technical design and operation of big fancy audio/visual systems). He's honored to support the community in any way he can, including his wily mentor, Jubilee's Minister of Ritual and Founder, Rev. Howard Hanger. Jay occasionally celebrates Sunday celebrations and other performs other services there, and carries his Ministry beyond the walls, wherever called.
