About Jay Kumar

Colleagues describe him as "Jay is an absolute rock star sales and client success leader who can build rapport very quickly and ensures that both sides learn to work together and benefit from each other in no time. He has a natural bias for quick action - which made him a highly trusted partner on our journey to outsource our non-core processes. I cannot recommend Jay enough." and "Jay frankly amazes me. He shouldn't be such a strong leader, at such a young age. He shouldn't have rapidly absorbed so much executive acumen. He shouldn't have the productivity of three people. But that might be exactly his secret: he is driven to overcome. What I find myself wondering is, exactly how high will this star rise, if it keeps burning so brightly?"

Focused on building Invisible into a multi-vertical juggernaut.Built AI Vertical from $0 to $XXM ARR, closing & launching strategic partnerships with the leading AI players (AI21, Big tech, Cohere, Microsoft, OpenAI, etc), propelling Invisible to the forefront of the AI revolution.
Head Of Sales & Customer Clients

Account Director
My first sales job out of college. I stepped into this role after turning around and restructuring my team in Operations. Was responsible for demand generation, closing, hitting targets and doing strategic consultations with our client base to increase their usage. Responsible for:-Training and managing my own outsourced team of 6 to do demand generation across mulitple channels. Figured out how to hack Gig platforms for client acquisitions and created a parallel Operations system to do more. At my peak, I was managing a team of 8 workers across a 16/5 schedule, managing relations with ~40 clients, and doing 10-12 sales/calls a day.-A turnaround of our Customer Success team (hiring and training)-Creating analyses (CAC, LTV, usage, churn, retention, etc.) -Growing revenue from ~$40K at the beginning of January 2020 to $1.2 million in ARR by the end of September 2020. Worked directly with the CEO & COO.
Operations Manager
My first 'real job'. Responsible for managing a team of 6 working a 24/7 shift to build taskbooks for client work. Got the team out of a backlog of 300 client tasks (1200 hours of work) within my first 2 months and grew the team to 12. Led the launch of DAL 1.1, our first major workflow improvement in Operations. Ultimately disbanded the team and restructured as we discovered more efficient workflows that obviated the need for this team.
Researcher
-Cold-called 20 researchers from across NYU to set-up independent study to develop a medical device. 2 responsed, one had just left the university and the other took me up on my offer-Brainstormed/researched several potential ideas (including a bedside RF non-invasive imager for hematomas). Ultimately decided against it after several months of lifting because: 1.) incremental (adjunctive, not standard-of-care) 2.) several universities/companies were developing it - Conceptualized and designed an in vivo ultrasound brain imager (PZT then CMUT). Taught myself to analytically design PZT and CMUT transducers + architecting the system through cold-calling researchers, reading papers and an ultrasound imaging textbook. Realized it would not work as power delivered would cook the brain + power required for one scan time was greater than any medical grade battery could provide - the battery would be too big to implant in either just below or above the dura. Live and learn (learned way more during this time than in any of my previous years of school)

I received this internship a month after I just started college. I managed this by following up with one of the co-founders after I attended a talk he gave about his company. After a few meetings, he proposed I become his intern in exchange for acquiring medical knowledge for developing my product. I: -Led and hired a team of senior and graduate students to develop 4 prototypes of a wearable solution that would allow blind people to autonomously navigate their environment -Prototyped embedded system using Arduinos, electronics, and C++ that were featured in several magazines, ABC, and the New York Festival of Lights-Tested electronics and the prototype to ensure wiring was correct and the prototype worked in real-life situations-Tested a variety of LIDAR, ultrasonic, and infrared sensors to evaluate their efficacy for future builds
