I began my career in healthcare at Ohio State, and in my years here I've seen up close what makes this organization great and why I am passionate about the work we do. The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute is so much more than science, technology, research and clinical trials. A cancer-free world is our mission-caring for patients is our passion. Our commitment to the best possible healthcare compassionately delivered has fueled from my early days as an emergency/ICU nurse. As the Senior Director for Business Development, I get to inspire that same commitment to patient care by:• ensuring our team is equipped, trained and supported to provide the most innovative solutions possible in patient care • partnering with external stakeholders and creating new opportunities to evolve our practice and drive positive impact toward patient care• leveraging our experience to drive national & global business development, extending our mission and expertise around the world.I’ll never forget the direct relationship with patients that first drew me toward clinical care. But my role today allows me to amplify that impact, reaching patients and their families, our care staff, even touching the lives of people around the world when they receive a cancer diagnosis. That takes energy and focus. To maintain that kind of spirit, I spend a fair amount of free time cycling and with my family. It’s a meditative, spiritual space for me. I get to clear my head and recharge so I have more to give when I’m back at The James. Specialties include: healthcare, team leadership, strategic planning, business development
