Jay practises in the area of corporate and securities law, including public and private mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, corporate finance and strategic alliances, technology transfer and licensing, with an emphasis on technology and life sciences companies. Jay co-leads the firm's Israel initiative.Jay is a former member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Securities Advisory Committee, which provides advice to the Commission on various matters, including legislative and policy initiatives. He was an adjunct Professor at Toronto's Osgoode Hall Law School and a former instructor at the Rotman School of Business at University of Toronto. Jay has been recognized in "Chambers Global – The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business" in the category of Corporate/M&A – Canada (Foreign Expertise – Israel) and Corporate M&A – Israel (Expertise Based Abroad); Jay is one of only 15 lawyers worldwide (and the only Canadian) recognized in this category.
