This role entails assisting clients and lenders in overseeing corporate actions processing and collateral management across diverse counterparts. It includes the crucial task of daily collateral position reporting to management and the securities borrowing/lending team, while also actively managing exposure to mitigate risks. The role identifies possibilities for optimizing collateral procedures, potentially using VBA or Python for automation. Ensuring alignment between internal systems and external lenders' positions is pivotal. Compliance with legal and regulatory requisites for all trade processes is highlighted, encompassing the preparation of interest and dividend disclosures for stakeholders. The role also involves creating dashboards to enhance transparency for outstanding pledges and available collateral. Communication with diverse stakeholders and conducting Python testing are also integral to the role.

In this role, I assist clients with corporate action processing and trade activities. This involves tasks such as uploading DVP trade instructions onto MICS and submitting them to the SGX portal based on client requests. Daily, I reconcile internal records with external ones to ensure accuracy. I also contribute to post-trade processing, guaranteeing the precision of all entries. To enhance efficiency, I utilize macros for automating repetitive tasks like CDP stock reconciliation and cash margin reporting. Furthermore, I handle clearing fee reconciliation and reporting. I review securities transactions to confirm their accuracy and regulatory compliance, maintaining detailed transaction records to adhere to regulatory and internal standards. I also facilitate clients in share transfers, including cross-border and NCBO transfers, and provide guidance on transportation and payment options.
