Shift Manager
Ponchatoula, Louisiana, United States
I started my journey at Taco Bell as a crew member. However, through hard work and consistency, I was fast-tracked to the management track in less than a year. As a shift lead, on any given shift, I was managing a team of 7-10 individuals. All of which who worked different positions needed to ensure that the store functioned smoothly, from my Food Champions (food-makers) to my Service Champions (cashiers). The beginning of each shift, I began with a brief rally where I shared with my team the active goals for that shift, where each person would work to help us meet these goals, and errors that occurs on previous shifts that could prevent us from reaching our new goals. Often, I ended the meetings with awarding team member(s) that went above and beyond the call of duty on previous shifts. Aside from building my team, my job as a shift manager consisted of counting products, depositing large sums of money, and most frequently: customer complaints.
