Jaylon is a first-generation law school graduate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA. He has a strong foundation in tax law, having served as a student attorney under the supervision of the Southern University Law's Clinical Education Office, where he assisted low-income taxpayers with a wide range of tax issues. During his time in law school, he also held the position of Executive Articles Editor for the Southern University Law Center's Journal of Intellectual Property, Technology & Law, and remains an active member of the National Black Law Student Association (NBLSA).Before embarking on his legal education, Jaylon gained significant experience in the technology sector, working as an enterprise technology sales professional and a global sales operations specialist at two multinational technology firms. His background also includes extensive experience in human resources administration, both in the public and private sectors, with a focus on recruiting and talent sourcing. As a LexisNexis Rule of Law Foundation Fellow, Jaylon contributed to initiatives aimed at combating systemic racism and promoting equity and accessibility within the U.S. legal system. Jaylon's legal acumen was further honed through two summer associate positions at Groom Law Group, Chartered in Washington, D.C., where he assisted attorneys with matters related to ERISA, healthcare, and retirement. He is currently preparing for the July 2024 District of Columbia bar exam and will join Groom Law Group, Chartered as an associate upon successful admission to the DC Bar.
