As a key member of the university’s International Recruitment Team, I have market development responsibilities to manage student recruitment from Europe and Hong Kong. This includes the account management of agent partnerships within the regions. In addition, I have previously managed the recruitment of UK-domiciled International students, Taiwan and the US and Canada markets, and am also experienced in recruiting students from India and the Middle East. I lead on global conversion campaigns and have strategic oversight of the team’s digital engagement strategy. This includes leading on international social media channels @livuniglobal, the international student blog and ‘The Ambassador Platform’ product operations for the international audience. I manage the International Student Ambassador programme, which involves the recruitment, training and management of approximately 100 student workers per academic year who support recruitment and marketing initiatives for the university.

I was responsible for the Arrivals and Departures process for all students enrolled at three large centres across the UK. I also oversaw HR administration for all staff across three centres.

I assisted the project management, development and delivery of a student recruitment programme, working with young people aged 16-19 from backgrounds that are currently underrepresented in Higher Education in the UK; recruiting and supporting students’ applications to the University of Liverpool and other Russell Group Institutions. I was part of a diverse international team and was required to travel nationally and internationally representing my employer.

Alongside my studies at the University of Liverpool, I worked in the department of Employability and Educational Opportunities on a diverse range of outreach programmes aimed at children and young people aged 9-18. This included working on large events, developing my communication and leadership skills; but also mentoring smaller groups and individuals; working closely with Looked After Children and young people from ethnic minority backgrounds currently underrepresented in Higher Education. I also facilitated on the Liverpool Scholars Programme, developing learning resources and delivering presentations to large groups of young people.
