Jayma Koval, is a Research Associate with the Research and Evaluation Team at CEISMC. Jayma received her B.S. in Meteorology from the Pennsylvania State University, a M.S. in Earth Science Adolescence Education from Long Island University and an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Science Teaching and Learning from Georgia State University. She is currently a Doctoral student at Georgia State in Educational Policy Studies, concentrating on research, measurement, and statistics.At CEISMC, Jayma focuses on educational research in the K-12 setting, curriculum development and teacher learning and professional development. Supported by her educational background, she is also interested in strengthening earth and space science education and is a Climate Change Fellow at Georgia Tech. Prior to her career at CEISMC, Jayma taught middle school earth, life and physical science for over 10 years in both Georgia and New York. She also volunteers as a NASA-JPL Solar System Ambassador and conducts space exploration related outreach events throughout the year.
