I began my career as soon as I was able to start working, at the age of 14, while I continued my schooling. My first job, like a lot of teenagers starting out was within the food retail industry. I continued working in this industry until I completed my Year 12 Higher School Certificate. Working within the food retail industry helped me secure my next role and progress in my career - Assistant Restaurant Manager within the hospitality and service industry. This was the platform and foundation to what sparked a passion within and what would eventually see me dedicating the next sixteen years of my life to - people management, leadership and store management - within the fashion retail industry. I have had the privilege of working with numerous high-profile companies, not only developing and strengthening my skills as a leader, but also being a part of seeing them grow, achieve and maintaining their reputation as industry leaders. The most recent four years of my work life has been spent within a completely different industry, however, the customer service and retail industry will always be something I would consider going back to, given the right role and career opportunity - it is where I have a natural ability to succeed and shine.In 2018 I decided to venture into a sector which encompasses another passion of mine - working with children in their early childhood years, and being a driving force behind developing and supporting them into becoming capable and confident learners and individuals. This was my motivation behind providing a Family Day Care service, which also allowed me to develop skills and knowledge around business management. The next year and a half saw me developing skills within the Early Education sector, building relationships with families, their children and the community. In late 2019, the opportunity was presented to me to relocate interstate with family, from New South Wales to South East Queensland, which has seen me work in child care centres in both the Brisbane and Ipswich regions up until the present (August, 2022).I look forward to opportunities that the future may await to continually improve and develop myself personally, professionally and what will ultimately become part of my journey.
