Seasoned and diverse litigation partner with a background in Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, and Engineering Management. I focus my practice in complex litigation, including product liability, drug and medical device, and environmental exposure cases. Within this area, I utilize my scientific background to work closely with technical witnesses and experts, and perform investigations into complex fact and scientific issues relevant to a particular case. I am also experienced in strategic litigation management via the coordination of both internal and external case workup, discovery, and expert teams in nationwide and mass tort litigation, including in the “virtual law firm” setting. Further, I am experienced in all phases of the litigation process, including pre and post-suit factual investigations and interviews, pre and post-recall investigations and interviews, discovery/e-discovery, witness preparation, depositions, motion practice, including arguing motions, trial preparation, and trial. I also have experience working with corporate clients on scientific and legal issues involving a variety of complex technologies in the field of intellectual property. Before attending law school, I received an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. Among other things, I wrote and presented my thesis on "shape memory" implants, and helped lead a team design project to design a mounting system for a patient with Muscular Dystrophy. After college, I received a Master’s degree in Engineering Management with a focus on assisting medical device companies in the market assessment of their respective technology platforms.
