I'm currently a student at Stenberg College in the field of mental health and addiction. Once my diploma is complete I strive to work with youth in the community to work on bettering themselves and help with resources. I want to eventually move up with management as my experience and skills progress.I've spent the last 5 years as a preschool teacher, and had moved up to management during my last year. Once I realized I wanted to change careers I knew this was the right fit for me.Through out this course we have been exposed to a lot of experiences, such as our two practicums so far working in the Downtown Eastside. My last two month practicum is at the Langley Lookout location, where I will be helping out with housing and have the chance to go into the community and practice harm reduction!
