About Jayme Edwards

After working in the software industry for a while, it's easy to lose your way. I personally burned out HARD after 20 years of working in QA, then Software Architecture, and eventually Management Consulting. I lost all my stocks, savings, and retirement when I was suddenly hit with mental health challenges in 2017.But on the road back to recovery, I started a YouTube channel to share the mistakes I made - and how I overcame them. In the 7 years since, I've become a guide for people trying to navigate the dangerous roads of the software industry. You can not just survive, but thrive! But you have to reject many of the empty pursuits of other "tech bros" and people who have no self-awareness about the true purpose of their life.I offer integrated tech career and life coaching now, and have worked one-on-one with over 100 experienced professionals for a minimum of 6 paid sessions each. I offer a variety of coaching packages that can help you achieve common outcomes professionals want out of their career.I’m not a recruiter (I don’t find you jobs). I’m not an interview prep coach. I’m not a programming instructor.I can help you with:• Finding a clear path to where you should go in your career• Helping you get unstuck when you’re low on confidence• Assisting you in articulating your unique value proposition in the market• Using storytelling and psychology to create a highly effective LinkedIn profile• Networking with potential employers by industry selection, company matching, and profiling individuals• Recovering from burnout through rest, mindset adjustments, and learning to set boundaries• Starting a solo consulting business so you can do high bill rate work for clientsI also offer custom coaching if you’re facing something a little outside the norm. This is only if I feel qualified to actually help.If you've got at least 5 years of experience, check out my website at the top of my profile. There you can learn more about whether my coaching might be right for you, and fill out an application. I'd love to help you get back to thriving in a healthy way in your tech career!
