The Makery is a pop-up Makerspace - part shop & part workshop. A movable and temporary venue where youth and adults are encouraged to be curious, to tinker, to experiment, and to make with technology. The Makery is a portable digital playground, a place where communities can gather to play with the creative power of digital design and fabrication, physical computing, and computer programming.

HTINK (pronounced “tink”- the “h” is silent) is an educational services cooperative (based on the Mondragon model) focused on spreading technical learning and creative problem solving skills to as many people as possible. We provide classes, workshops, and collaborative problem solving challenges for adults and children that promote hands-on learning and making. In addition to direct instruction we also provide professional development services and technical support to Schools, Community-based organizations, Makerspaces, Hackerspaces and Fablabs.

Nerdy Derby Inc. began as a no-rules miniature car-building and racing competition where participants built their own cars using simple materials in an informal, hands-on environment; raced their cars on our 50 foot-long custom-built wooden race track; and then refined their designs using knowledge gained through the creative process. We now aim to build on this early experience by establishing Nerdy Derby Inc., an educational not-for-profit corporation. The mission of Nerdy Derby Inc. is to provide students and educators with hands-on learning activities that are creative and engaging. We hope to add excitement to classrooms and other educational settings, and in the process, build communities of youth and adults who actualize their knowledge through building, tinkering, and refining, and then share what they learn with the world at large.The Nerdy Derby is available for rental use at schools, museums, camps, science festivals, or any other venue that wants to host this truly engaging educational experience.

GreenFab is a high school program for students from the South Bronx that aims to teach Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills through classes on sustainable design and green technologies. GreenFab provides a project-based, hands-on approach to teaching STEM concepts while emphasizing a focus on career development in the emergent field of Sustainable Technologies. GreenFab is a collaborative effort between Vision Education and Media, Sustainable South Bronx, New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program and The Bronx Guild High School.
