I have been given the unique opportunity to build a marketing function from the ground up for Schier, a dynamic, high-growth manufacturing company. What began as a 2-person, primarily sales materials design team has grown into a multi-skilled, 7-person marketing and custom technology department. Together, we are responsible for upgrading and maintaining the company's website, updating and maintaining the company's innovative custom software platforms, and improving brand uniformity and marketing authority in the industry. As the leader of the MarTech department, I am building strategies for numerous business-impacting efforts - including the following:* Identifying areas of growth, both short term and long term; * Working with the owners to develop strategies for growth and putting actionable plans in place;* Collaborating with my team and all other company teams to execute the growth plans;* Growing the in-house team as necessary to add the skills required to execute the growth plan;* Building relationships with key agency and channel contacts to add additional expertise as the growth plan necessitates,* Examining Schier’s current e-commerce strategy and identifying areas to improve;* Managing Schier’s e-commerce revenue channel;* Analyzing data to help drive the direction of the company and improve marketing strategies and customer experience;* Leading the technical team to develop industry-first web applcations and implementing marketing and sales strategies that turn leads into sales.

I led a process of uncovering the current state of the agency in terms of service offering and scalability; Established an account review process for evaluating client work and profitability; Restructured the agency service offering to deliver more value; Oversaw the marketing strategy and analyzed progress.

I developed the concept for DivvyHQ while working as a freelance copywriter. To get the platform off the ground, I collaborated with the engineers on the MVP scope, managed the build, timelines and budget, and completed the launch of the application on time and within our budget. After the launch, my job became continued bug fixed and enhancements, building customer relationships and managing the customer support experience. Notable customers acquired include: Nokia, Intel, Lee, Bed Bath & Beyond, The Federal Reserve Bank, Toyota, Edelman, National Geographic Channel and TiVO. Responsibilities include:• Writing all content for the platform, front-end marketing website and all customer communication and articles• Creating and communicating the vision of the company• Analyzing monthly revenue against operating budget• Setting financial, product and acquisition goals and tracking results• Managing the technical vision, roadmap and schedule as well as day-to-day product management and reporting progress• Giving customer demos and managing the customer support portal• Building relationships with complimentary products and investors• Managing the sales, marketing and inbound/outbound content strategy
