Jaymin Patel is a highly motivated and passionate individual dedicated to creating a positive impact on the world through the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge sustainable technology. Currently, he is employed at AESC US as a Process Engineer, where he contributes to the engineering team in Bowling Green, KY, preparing for the production readiness of their new battery manufacturing plant. In his role as Sr Equipment Engineer at Tesla, he played a key role in solving complex challenges related to laser welding processes and cell cleanliness for Tesla's 4680 cells. Additionally, he was responsible for monitoring key performance indicators - OEE (Equipment Availability), identifying root causes for faults and downtime, and driving performance-improvement projects. Jaymin's mechanical engineering background was instrumental in him developing a custom fixture to be used in Quality Check Tests for Tesla's Cells that streamlined downstream operations and reduced downtime. At Roche (Ventana), Jaymin led end-to-end process engineering initiatives for high-volume dispenser production lines, both manual and automated. He also played a key role in identifying vendors for modular clean rooms, supporting floor layout and capacity planning, and working with automation vendors to design and implement an automated test cell. Jaymin leveraged Lean Six Sigma tools to drive improvement, performing root cause investigations and using statistical analysis software to optimize process parameters. He also supported Cognex vision systems, Keyence sensors, and RFID-related improvement projects. During his internship at Mizuho, he designed and developed neurosurgical devices, ensuring that they were safe for use at scale and met end-user requirements. He performed inspections, documented, and executed IQ/OQs (Installation and Operational Qualifications) and PQs (Performance Qualifications) in collaboration with the Regulatory, Quality, and Operations teams. Jaymin's passion for going above-and-beyond in driving sustainability and his expertise in engineering make him an asset for any organization looking to drive innovation and positive change.
