I am a Senior Solutions Architect in Amazon Payments helping Payments teams build highly scalable and available (500 - 2000 TPS) payments platform features that all Amazon business uses for their everyday payments processing. Every year across 50+ businesses of Amazon (Prime, Prime Video, Kindle, Music etc) launches/adopts over 70 - 80 payments methods across the world for their e-commerce and retail stores businesses to help Amazon customer make payments more secure and easy. In 2019 IBM started actively architecting some Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) on IBM Cloud to be served to Financial institutions in Canada in need of modernization or trying to catch up with fast-moving payments changes. In 2021 this has been extended to the US as well on IBM FSS Cloud.I worked as the Lead Architect for the Cheque/Cheque stream to help IBM build a Cheque-as-a-Service offering that drives down Financial Institutions' run cost of their Cheque infrastructure and also at the base time provides all the technical benefits of a modernized ecosystem. My responsibilities were not limited to technical solution architecture only, I am also performing the role as the Product Owner to be the visionary of this Cheque/Check Platform including Inter Bank and Multi-Vendor integration and business can be standardized. Cheque/Platforms include Mobile/Pervasive devices from the deposit, to clearing, to FRAUD detection, processing, Posting, General and Ledger Balancing, Reporting, Continuous Monitoring, Client Feedback, etc.

Build a Cheque processing solution for Scotiabank using IBM Payments Director (now known as FTM for Cheque) and migrate the host logic into this mid-tier system.- Help Scotiabank to build the knowledge and competency for the cheque process inside the bank to better manage the applications for the long term.- Manage IBM GBS resources, IBM Lab resources, Cost, Timing, Status Reporting, etc.- Work with the Bank to help evaluate why IBM solution is better than other vendor solutions bidding for the same project.- Evaluate, and understand the Host system capabilities and then remodel, design, and implement them on the IPD products.

F200 Optimization project was an Investment Platform Modernization project for migrating the back-end system from complicated and expensive host-based Architecture to SOA Mid-tier Architecture to reuse the services layer for both Branch teller platforms and online banking. The project was delivered on schedule and generated 3 - 3.5 million dollar ongoing annual savings whereas the anticipated savings was 1 - 1.5 million.- Work with Business Analysts in translating business requirements into Functional Requirements Documents and Detailed Design Documents.- Performance Tuning Activities and reduce memory footprints to better utilize the Dyna-Cache.- Work closely with the Project Management Office to set up deployment and UAT plans and code reviews.
