Ideas To Go is a creative process consulting firm that specializes in helping Fortune 500 companies generate concepts for new products and services, positioning, naming and promotions. Creative Consumers® associates comprise Ideas To Go’s proprietary consumer panel and are extensively trained in creative processes and techniques. As a Creative Consumers® associate, I participate in ideation sessions to bring to life the creative voice of the consumer. My participation is used to stimulate thinking about key areas of opportunity, generate ideas and provide possible solutions to clients’ business needs.

• Used an rf capacitively coupled plasma in a GEC plasma cell that was modified for use in complex plasmas, and improved the research group’s understanding of both signal harmonics and plasma reaction to internal perturbations. • Characterized the change in both the plasma and dust in the plasma cell as a result of the introduction of an isolated probe. • Used an optical tracking system to measure particle displacement, as well as Langmuir probe diagnostics.• Discovered several phenomenons that had gone unnoticed by previous researchers, managed to track down likely causes for these effects and then taught them to the group.• Utilized custom built Labview programs as well as ImageJ, Microsoft office, Matlab, and Mathematica.• Collaborated on CASPER’s public outreach program. This included • Visits to local high schools to excite students about science. • Deeply involved in designing all aspects of a program called the physics circus (2.5 hour since production shown to 2000+ students), with a mixed group of physicists, museum studies students, and education professionals.

• Research paper published: Photoluminescence spectra of thin films containing CdSe/ZnS quantum dots irradiated by 532-nm laser radiation and gamma-rays, Journal of Luminescence, Volume 128, Issue 11, November 2008, Pages 1771-1776• Manage day to day operations of a small lab using spectrum analysis on Quantum dots and the effects of radiation on them.• Found a flaw in the lab’s optic system which skewed experimental results, and then redesigned and built a new setup which both fixed the problem and greatly increased the ease of use of the system. • Taught two new students proper laboratory procedures, including equipment operation, data analysis and safety procedures. • Developed familiarity with laser and radiation safety procedures as well as use of SpectraMAX, ImageJ, Origin and Microsoft office software.
