In addition to teaching and scholarship, created new programs, fostered student publications, devised awards and recognition for others, orchestrated institutional improvements (with and without official authority), and advanced recognition of women's achievements in many university settings. Impatient, creative, and happy to leave pesky details to others. Intolerant of bullies, slackers, temporizers, complainers and people who see themselves as victims. Fond of people who identify needs and figure out how those needs can best be served. Without seeking glory or exalting process. Just getting the job done. Those are the best people in my life.
