I was the Vice-Chancellor's Executive Support - I managed his diary, communication with staff and ingoing/outgoing correspondence. I worked closely with the VC and his Executive & Policy Officer to manage his daily activities and support them with research, information and organisation. I acted as the first point of contact for the Vice-Chancellor via the telephone, as well as for all staff in the University. This was a demanding role which called for a high-level understanding of prioritisation and professionalism. I also monitored the VC's budget, booked travel, processed expense claims and was Clerk to two senior-level committees Chaired by the VC.

I administrated the Journalism courses at UCA, supporting the new course leader in their delivery. My duties involved planning and preparing events, trips and guest speakers, as well as arranging and running applicant and open days.My role included helping students and advising them both on their university work and UCA policy, as well as tracking attendance and helping to manage deadlines. I also worked to market the course to potential applicants and manage the course's online presence and social media channels. Alongside this, I also delivered sessions to students on the basics of web design, investigative journalism, copywriting techniques, and gave one-on-one tutorials.I was also the Broadcast Technician for the course 3 days a week, and this involved teaching students how to use hardware and software, as well as managing and maintaining the TV and Radio studios.This role was broad but integral to the running of the course; I also adopted an ‘open-door policy’ and frequently gave students advice and guidance on their projects as well as any issues they may have outside of their work.
