A Purchase processing• Raise Purchase Orders & reporting queries (e.g. extended leadtimes) in a timely manner• Liaising with suppliers on specification, delivery schedules, minimum orders, and pricing information• Liaising with Finance department, checking invoices queries and investigating price variances• Expediting PODs where necessaryB Inventory control• Action goods receiving (in Sage)• Monitor stock levels, assist in identifying re-order levels and place purchase orders for both project and inventory items as required• Report on stock movement and usage history• Participate and supervise stocktakesC Supplier relationships• Monitor and report on supplier performance; participate in meetings with suppliers where necessary• Work with existing suppliers to improve performance or assist to identify alternative suppliersC Business support• Provide procurement support to the Sales function• Advise management of industry competitive situations, alternative supply sources, raw material costs, commodity price trends, and supply/demand situations which may impact the business.
