I am a very experienced musician and performer. I am known for my technical abilities, very fast fingers and big sound. I have played many different musical styles at a variety of events including telethons, concerts, dinners, weddings, church services, recitals, guest homes, and competitions. I have appeared on national television as a soloist as a part of the 2009 Christmas Daddies Telethon. I won an international talent competition on the NCL Majesty in 2007. I have also received bursaries worth over $1000 to attend an international flute festival in 2008. I have played on several recordings including Godsent's CD and I am in the process of creating my own CD with Suzanne MacLellan and Keith Burton. In addition to being soloist I also am a band member of the gospel group "Godsent".In terms of music education, I have been teaching flute, piano, voice and theory privately since 1994. I have been teaching classroom music and band since January 2009.My goals are to continue performing for as long as possible. I am also planning to audition for the M.Mus performance/pedagogy program at Memorial University of Newfoundland for the 2011/2012 school year.Specialties: performing, arranging music, orchestrating, theory, teaching
