I'm a Graphic Designer at Oxford Brookes University, working mainly in design for print, and supporting and advising staff throughout the University and its partner organisations. The work has also enabled me to gain valuable experience in digital and web design, developing my skillset and generating a more varied portfolio of projects.Whilst working for the university I have also been able to take on short term contracts in other departments to help with specific projects, minimise workload, or to fill a gap whilst recruiting, demonstrating my teamworking skills, flexibility and reputation.In 2018 I took on the voluntary role of Chair of The LGBTQ+ Staff Forum at Oxford Brookes. I have led on organising a programme of events for LGBTQ+ History Month each year, collaborated with the other Staff Diversity Networks, colleagues across the University and community groups and networks in Oxford, influenced policy development, gained leadership and communication skills, and developed an understanding of and passion for equality, diversity and inclusion work.I am the yes woman in my team. I thrive on challenges – enjoying problem-solving and learning new skills. Technical expertise, positive attitude and excellent communication skills are the keys to my success.
