Actively involved in a number of major local projects such as building of a new community Eco Hub, local housing developments and major infrastructure initiatives.An unpaid voluntary community-based role in my village, which I took on as I wanted to represent other parents in the village, as at that time, there were very few Councillors that had young children.I worked closely with our Parish Clerks, District Councillor Bridget Smith and our County Councillor Sebastian Kindersley.I took specific time out from paid employment, in order to bring up my children. This allowed me the opportunity to volunteer my time to my community, in a variety of ways whilst trying to make a difference and improve community facilities.During my time as a Councillor, I was involved in some of the following projects:- the building and funding of the Eco Hub - our village community centre building- Project managed the refurbishing The Butts playpark. - Maintaining Millbridge Brook Meadows open space - carried out quarterly risk assessments, Trained River Warden - monitoring our wildlife, organising working parties, reintroduction of wildflower projects and maintaining the fruit orchards. - I was the lead contact with the village school and responsible for the introduction of road safety initiatives.- I represented the Parish Council for four years at our local Neighbourhood Police Meetings.

Reports to the Director Global Brand Intelligence & Global Anti-Counterfeit (ACF) programs and is responsible for analytical/intelligence related programs and initiatives and their oversight and management across the globe.I managed a team of five remote intelligence analysts and database administrators/developers, whose role was to provide timely operational and evidential support to ongoing intellectual property right investigations.I worked with external intelligence providers, who created software solutions for identifying illegal products for sale.Hewlett Packard robustly protected its intellectual brands (ink cartridges/printers/laptops) and I was part of the intelligence team that investigated illegal/copyrighted versions that were available for sale worldwide and then provided evidential support for to be removed from sale, forensically tested and then suppliers were hopefully prosecuted.We worked closely with Worldwide Customs, Interpol, Europol, Other Brand owners and local police teams.

I was part of a team of twelve members (Independent and Council Representatives) that were responsible for agreeing the Cambridgeshire police budget, appointing the Chief Constable, setting police priorities for the coming year (producing the local Policing Plan) and for monitoring the constabularies performance.All Full Authority meetings were held in public.This was a part-time role and I was a member of the following committees;- Citizen Focus Panel- Scrutiny and Audit Committee- Performance Panel- Way Forward Panel- Professional Standards Committee - Including the Independent Custody Visitor ProgrammeI represented the Police Authority in Public at local Neighbourhood Crime Panel Meetings, that were held across my responsibility area which was the whole of South Cambridgeshire.Police Authorities were replaced by Police and Crime Commissioners in 2012.
