Pennsylvania Resources Council is the oldest non-profit environmental organization in the state.Acting Volunteer Coordinator for several environmental projects. Charged with stakeholder outreach for regional projects including the grant funded PA Growing Greener Storm Water Initiative and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Stream Smart House-call Program. I manage our decades old Photo contest that raises awareness about the negative impact litter has on the environment. This involves securing sponsorship and photographer participation. Part of PRC's grant writing team. I managed our Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) contract to engage in educational outreach on all the Smart Ideas Programs as part of a fee for service contract April 2010 through May 2016. This required coordination with the PECO Marketing Department, hiring, supervising and scheduling staff, securing events, set up and organizing event activities and maintaining an inventory of supplies.This contract also required me to conduct presentations for both adults and children. I am at ease in front of both groups and enjoy public engagement.I have developed and organized our electronic waste recycling collection service. From promotion and sales to scheduling and staffing I have a hand in every facet of this program. My responsibilities require me to work with little or no supervision. The nature of these two projects also requires extensive coordination with outside organizations and their personnel. Administrative duties for PRC include the redesign of our brochure and full use of social media to promote our activities. I thrive in a team environment and appreciate collaboration. At the same time I am totally comfortable working independently. Volunteer Outreach Coordinator; charged with receiving volunteer inquiries and connecting them with appropriate projects. I work with groups and individuals, students and adults.Support other departments in the PRC organization.

I have just completed a third term as the elected Mayor of Lansdowne Borough. This volunteer position has expanded my diplomacy, organization, public speaking, writing and communication skills. Lansdowne is a first class borough out side of West Philadelphia. We have over 10,000 residents. When first elected I made better communication a number one goal. To that end I have worked to design and improve our web presence www.lansdowneborough.com , I was the Editor in Chief of the borough newsletter and took pride in promoting Lansdowne at many local and state wide forums.The communication infrastructure I helped design and build is there for my successors.I am certified in Emergency Management and act as the Information Officer on our Emergency Mangement Team. As such I was the liason between an emergency event and the outside world. This requires a total understanding of the proper safety protocols used by our first responders and the ability to communicate with people stressful situations.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania First Suburbs Project is a regional organization of local-elected, faith and civic leaders from older developed suburbs that have joined together to harness their communities' power by directly engaging citizens to affect policies and practices that will lead to the stabilization and revitalization of their communities and the region as a whole. Since it was founded I have been an active participant in their organizing activities. My position as Mayor of Lansdowne borough, has given me the skills to write and deliver event specific speeches and represent 1st Suburbs on the State and National level.
