I have been part of the St Pauls' team since 2000. In 2009 I took on the role of Senior Clerk. My main role as Senior Clerk involves the promotion and support of chambers and its members. ‘You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time’That quote certainly sums up my approach to this job. I have a very good understanding of the barristers I work with and have assisted many in capitalising on their talents, skills and knowledge. I appreciate one size does not fit all. I consider it my role to keep those members of chambers connected by our common goal.My role within chambers allows me to put in to practise those skills I have developed over my 24 years as a barrister's clerk. I am a supporter of all those I work alongside. I have strategic thinking that keeps me focused on my goals for chambers. I am a developer with insightful knowledge of the legal and business sector. I have a large network of contacts across the country. This allows me to connect business to business and has proven very successful over recent years. We have particular expertise when it comes to advising clients on environmental issues both regulatory compliance advice and advice followingIt is obvious to me that there will always be a requirement for quality advocacy. I began at St Pauls Chambers as a Criminal Clerk in 2000. In 2003 I took over the Civil and Family team when we merged with Mercury Chambers. In 2007 I went back to Crime and finally took over as Senior Clerk in 2009.
