I am currently working at Abbeyfields Insurance as the Underwriting & Development Manager, and I am responsible for the growth and development of the Private Lines department. Leading with over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, I manage the private lines team here at Abbeyfields Insurance. Having worked for Footman James, Hagerty and Heritage in the past, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge in the classic and specialist vehicle market, and I strive to bring together the values I appreciate the most within my team. An ethos which is most valuable to me is excellent customer service. My team are very knowledgeable about our products and also know their cars like a true car enthusiast themselves. Throughout my career, I have predominantly specialised in placing insurance for multi-vehicle, specialist vehicles, car collections and classic car insurance. I have developed strong relationships with reputable UK insurers over many years, which has allowed me to develop several specialist schemes, which we underwrite and administer in-house. I still hold traditional values close to my heart and believe that it’s always best to be able to pick up the phone and speak to someone – without being restricted by scripts or call centre waiting times.
