Since retiring from The Vancouver Tool Corporation in 2022 I have been involved in providing articles on a variety of topics (travel, self improvement, health) on a voluntary basis. These tend to be written in the first person and sometimes are provided at the suggestion of the body I am writing for (for example, The University of British Columbia, Campus Resident Magazine) and sometimes on topics I want to write on (for example to Lowentropy)

Jayne was Marketing Director for The Vancouver Tool Corporation a company she established with her partner in 1996. Vancouver Tool has successfully managed to market and sell a number of patented inventions for the home improvement industry to every major home improvement retailer in North America. The company has also achieved export sales of their distinctive range of sealant tools - over 30 million of their products have been sold worldwide with significant export sales to Europe, Australia, Japan and the USA. In 1995 following a number of requests to provide information about marketing a new invention she wrote a book entitled: From the Mind to the Marketplace: The Story of an Inventor, The Home Improvement Industry, His Wife and Her Lovers (www.heritagehouse.ca). Following publication Jayne was asked to speak at a number of international conferences and events. In addition to international engagements Jayne also gives presentations to Canadian businesses, organizations and academic institutions. CAMPING: Jayne has written four books about camping in British Columbia (BC). Over 50,000 of these guide books have been sold making her one of the most successful travel writers in BC. Her works include: Camping With Kids; Best Camping Adventures - Southwestern BC and Vancouver Island; Best Camping Adventures – Northern, Central and Southwestern BC; and the most popular entitled Camping BC: A Complete Guide to Provincial and National Park Campgrounds (www.heritagehouse.ca). President Worldwide DIY Council, a non-profit association of US and Canadian firms serving the consumer, industrial and commercial Do-It-Yourself markets around the world. Prior to this Jayne served on the WDIYC Board for a period of three years.
