👋ABOUT ME:I am a case manager with a physiotherapy background in functional rehabilitation. I have experience utilising evidence based biopsychosocial assessment approach and patient reported outcome measures to develop timely and cost-effective rehabilitation plans for clients who have sustained life changing serious injuries. I specialise in case management of clients who have experienced complex orthopaedic trauma (including amputees) and mild-moderate brain injury return to valued activities of daily living, work, and leisure activities. I also have a keen interest in the role that lifestyle factors have on clinical outcomes.I take pride in organising and reflecting on detailed information to consider options and inform clinical decisions. I have also invested time into becoming a certified coach and participated in motivational interviewing courses as I believe that these are invaluable skills to truly deliver a client-centred approach and help clients explore barriers while also empowering them to feel in control of fulfilling their potential. I also highly value teamwork and having clear and regular communication with other members of the MDT, solicitors, and insurers to keep a case running smoothly as the client works towards their goals.I have been a Registered Member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE) since 2014 and have previously taught the ACPOHE Occupational Rehabilitation and Return to Work course. Acknowledging that work is often an important part of a clients’ identity and rehabilitation after serious injury I enjoy the process of exploring options and opportunities to support the process of returning to work.
