I am a mom, wife, teacher, and life-long learner. I am passionate about biology, environmental science, and teaching. I have over 7 years of biology teaching experience as a college instructor and a teaching assistant during graduate studies on how human impacts affect two vastly different aquatic ecosystems in Texas and Canada. I have 5 years of primary and secondary school teaching experience at a global IB school in Singapore with 80 nationalities where I practiced IB approaches to learning across age groups in a multicultural setting. I have recently taught junior cycle science, and I am currently a science teacher at an FET college in Dublin, Ireland. I believe that students learn best by doing real world student-led learning activities that they get excited about. I hope to share my passion for biology and the natural world around us, while encouraging a growth mindset in the classroom and empowering students to take ownership of their learning.
