In collaboration with the paper’s other data journalist, created the St. Louis Homicide Tracker that made homicide data sortable and searchable by location and victim information. Produced in-depth investigative and explanatory stories, including a series that used 311 data to investigate St. Louis’ illegal dumping problem. The reporting led to staffing and other changes in city hall, and complaints dropped in the years after. -
