Employed in the Commercial Operations department of a globally established company to oversee various Cisco related projects for a variety of customers. During the employment to date, I have successfully managed several projects including a global firewall upgrade for a high profile gaming company, a Unified Communications (UC) upgrade for a well-known beverage company and a LAN refresh project worth in excess of a million pounds for a UK insurance firm.I am currently employed full time on a large Managed Service Agreement (MSA) to manage the UC and Network work streams for a UK based charity. I am responsible for the full lifecycle of both projects from design to implementation and testing.Thus far on the project, I have successfully delivered a resilient core network into the Datacentres, delivered a resilient UC core, written and delivered UC training for staff, provided on site technical assistance for UC migrations and carried out full test plans before handing over services to the customer. I have put in place full rollout and migration plans as well as the continued management of multiple third parties during the course of the project.Key Achievement to date• Successfully delivered the WAN, LAN, WLAN and Telephony to the customers new head office on a strict deadline. Was instrumental in developing a temporary solution when the target solution wasn’t possible in the timeframe and drove the successful migration onto the target state once the environment was stood up. Worked from pre sales through to transition into support ensuring all requirements were obtained from the customer before transforming their new office from an empty building to a fully functioning Head Office. Managed multiple engineers, co-ordinators and third party resource to ensure service provided on day one and co-ordinated out of hours work to ensure a successful migration of servers and equipment once readiness was achieved.

Appointed to support essential military training to UK forces prior to deployment out of area. I oversee the technical aspects of all training exercises, plan and head up the deployed operations aspect and task personnel as required. I also am part of a team that maintains the ground to air communications for the Search & Rescue squadron at RMB Chivenor. I have led teams of up to 5 technicians in support of classified military training throughout the UK. Provided technical support to other Governmental agencies to facilitate their training objectives and have become the focal point for advice and technical assistance on all aspects of CCTV to those at RAF St Mawgan as well as other agencies.I wrote, tested and delivered a full training package to the team and developed ways to electronically manage various services within the section.I was appointed Project Manager on a project to design, procure, install and test a complex deployable CCTV system for the purpose of recording training to ensure the users compliance with the laws they are governed by in the execution of their duties.

I performed a variety of roles during the 10 years I spent in the military. I initially joined as an Electronics Technician but as the trade evolved and amalgamated with various others, my trade title changed to ICT Technician. I specialised in secure and satellite communications & CCTV installation and maintenance.

I was attached to provide IM support to personnel providing intelligence support to Commander of Joint Operations on Op ELLAMY.I was responsible as the primary point of contact for all Communications Information Systems (CIS) user accounts, new CIS requirements and collaborative team site areas.I provided instant response to all faults encountered by users over multiple high grade secure networks.I assisted in the design and administrative tasking of a new web based collaborative team site.I ran a project to produce an archiving facility on the PJHQ swipe card access system.I also implemented a new system for tracking the CIS status of new arrivals to the unit.

I was responsible for the maintenance and repair of two satellite dishes that provided an encrypted data path for essential operational communications.I was responsible for the installation and training on a new modem system installed in the equipment.I provided information and training on security issues as part of the arrivals brief for new personnel onto the island.I implemented new Electronic Ways of Working into the section to maintain currency with Air Force IT policy.
