I have been in the I.T. industry for over 25 years and have performed as a technical lead on PeopleSoft implementations, an Oracle Fusion implementation, and a Workday implementation. I have experience data modeling "middle layer" operational data stores. I have designed large scale software solutions with many hundreds of tables and hundreds of thousands lines of code. Peoplesoft ConsultantDeloitte & Touche Feb 2002 - Jun 2004- Lead a team of two to develop a script in 1½ months which could convert and clean all the PeopleSoft data and load it from HRMS 8.0 into HRMS 8.8 in 4 hours during an upgrade and e-enablement project. The script was designed to allow migration from PeopleSoft 8.0 to 8.8 to easily occur during a weekend.- Defined business rules for HR data entry activities, designed the method use to clean all HR action related data (leading to a Job table size reduction of over one third), and redefined business units, departments, and HR hierarchies.- Designed and developed the Payroll to GL interface.- Delivered a PeopleSoft HRMS 8 Benefits Administration implementation on a tight timeframe of only 2½ months. Performed as the only technical resource and as the only resource with any functional Benefits Administration experience on a very small implementation team.- Built a letter-writing module that creates dynamic content in e-mails and printed documents for the Learning & Growth department and for Benefits Administration.- Created a suite of tools for Employment Equity reporting.- Merged all payroll data into PeopleSoft during the merger of Andersen’s Canadian operations into Deloitte & Touche.- Created a complex reporting system for PeopleSoft that allows dynamic selection of the rows, columns, and criteria to be applied to the report.- Created Training Module enhancements to add additional eligibility criteria for courses.- Designed and built a routine to create a training database with confidential data “scrambled” to protect the privacy of that data. -

Prepared the Statement of Work and the Service Contract, created and updated the Project Plan, and provided status updates to Scotiabank and the professional services area director. Designed and made schema changes to the datamart the handle currency conversion for data from many different countries. Designed a data loading process to handle large amounts of data (250Gb).- Created sales demonstrations for use by KPMG and E.piphany complete with key performance indicators, executive portals, analytics, and targeted marketing functionality. Sales demonstrations were complete with ETL jobs loading fabricated data designed to feel like customer data that contained trends that show up in the analytical tools.- Provided assistance to HP Consulting during a business requirement analysis project for FedEx Canada’s marketing and finance departments. Created a product demonstration completely customized to match information gathered during discovery sessions.- Assisted AutoDesk in setting up E.piphany’s Analytic Platform in a Sun UNIX and Oracle 8i environment.- Kept current with E.piphany’s AP, RP and IP platforms through training classes and working with the tools in the office on down time in Windows NT environments with SQL Server or Oracle8i/9i on Linux databases. -

Peoplesoft ConsultantEdison Group Oct 1997 - Feb 2000- On a PeopleSoft 7.5 Student Administration implementation created new shipping and billing functionality for Gemological Institute of America. Work was performed in a combined NT, UNIX, and Oracle environment. Gathered all business requirementsrelated to the set-up of the student accounts receivable data and student billing. Designed the loading scripts in SQR to import student accounts receivable and student record information. Used PeopleCode extensively to create from scratch a large and complex shipping module that included an SQR to print bar codes to identify course material, an SQR that printed FedEx labels, and created custom user interfaces using PeopleTools and PeopleCode.- As technical lead on a full PeopleSoft 7 HRMS implementation for H&R Block, managed eight technical resources on a team of fifteen, developed key interfaces to ADP using SQR, provided technical time and resource information for the overall project plan, trained client IT staff in the complexities of applying patches and testing their success, and assisted the team working on a concurrent PeopleSoft Financials implementation. Using PeopleTools created user interfaces to access various customized interfaces. Used PeopleCode to ensure data validity.- Developed key interfaces using SQR between Payroll, Benefits, and Accounts Payable with outside agencies such as banks and credit unions and assisted in the business-side configuration of the Benefits Administration system during a full PeopleSoft 6 HRMS and Financials implementation for the South Texas Project nuclear facility.

The system also tracked filings with regulating bodies and printed many different reports.- Rewrote London Life’s Pay Administration System to make thesystem more reliable and to add some functionality. This system collected and integrated departmental budgets, employee pay, performance review data, and the reporting hierarchy information to allow managers to determine employee pay increases. The system also was designed so that a manager’s superior would approve the departmental budget.- Created London Life’s Flexible Benefit Enrolment System using Microsoft’s development tools such as Visual Basic which was deployed across Canada for the purpose of collecting employee flexible benefit enrolment data, calculating benefit costs, printing insurance and enrolment forms, and populating collected data into the PeopleSoft 3.22 Benefits Administration system.
