My position with SFAR carries two responsibilities. The first is to manage and direct all activity concerned with the Multiple Listing Service (SFARMLS). The second is to plan, implement and control the various internal IT projects and activities that are part of the MLS or the Association.A non-exhaustive list of functions for these two roles:* lead a team of MLS Specialists who will assist members by email and by phone* review, revise and enforce the MLS Rules & Regulations, ensure they are consistent with CAR and NAR rules* provide technical vetting for product partnerships being evaluated by the Association's leadership* act as liaison between the Association/MLS and various technology providers/vendors involved in delivering products and services* act as project manager for work items set forth by the Association/Executive and MLS & Technology Committee* help the organization move toward paperless (electronic signature) systems* streamline internal office processes with the goal of reducing complexity and decreasing response times* collaborate with other Association departments (Communications, Membership) to deliver great service* design and implement a training program with regular classes at the Association and special "outreach" training sessions in the Brokerage offices.* act as a face for SFARMLS - be in the field, answer questions that members have about technologies in the industry

Added management of another technical team to my previous role as a Sales Engineering Team Lead for the Point2 Syndication network and its customized implementations.This new second team is responsible for the billing and data interchange between Point2's systems and the parent company's aggregate systems. As the sole SE for our newly formed business group, I performed data analysis and system interoperability investigations in order to connect to and receive data from organizations using the Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS).

Worked closely with business and development to generate the stories for building a new product at Point2 Technologies. The development team used Scrum/XP methodologies - stories were written up with business value in mind using a variety of agile estimation techniques.

Time was split up between working in maintenance on a large ASP.NET C# production system and doing some regular feature development for the product.

At QA, my role as a programmer/analyst involved maintenance of a suite of legacy Win32 applications developed in Delphi (5,6,7) and development of a new data processing service (called a "geofencing engine") for analyzing GPS data collected on fleet vehicles, long-haul tractors and semis.

Extended the functionality of a data access utility and worked with various GIS software packages to manage and distribute map data for use in vehicle tracking systems.
