Roadway and civil designer for multidisciplinary transportation projects, including:Boardwalk Access Control - Ocean City, MD - Provided site layout and design services for security barrier features along the Ocean City Boardwalk. - Conducted risk analysis, provided Client with design and product alternatives, and prepared construction documents. Coordinated with other internal disciplines for relevant aspects of design. Nice-Middleton Bridge Campus Redevelopment, MDTA - Provided site and civil design services for the redevelopment of a maintenance and administration facility serving the new Nice-Middleton Bridge. Scope included sidewalk, access roads, parking, outdoor maintenance facilities, septic system, and utility relocation. - Provided Construction Administration services during Phase 1 of construction. Managed the distribution, review, and timely return of Submittals and RFIs. Facilitated communication between Owner and EOR to provide accurate responses and advice to the Owner. Florida Avenue / New York Avenue, NE, Intersection, DDOT - Roadway redesign for a major urban intersection in Washington, DC. Scope included the reconfiguration of the roadway geometry and traffic pattern and the creation of new public green space. - Prepared initial concepts, refined design with input from Owner, and coordinated with all other internal disciplines to develop a complete design package. - Advised Owner during public outreach and coordination.- Coordinated with all utility owners in the project area.Florida Avenue, NE, and Maryland Avenue, NE, Streetscape Projects, DDOT - Streetscape design for projects on two urban roads near the US Capitol. - Roadway design included curb extensions, slip lane closures, adjustment of median, and addition of protected bike lanes. - Historic significance of roads required coordination for historic preservation review, concurrence from the National Park Service, and input from local community and educational entities.
