Designed: Designed a secure and resilient private cloud infrastructure that supported the unique needs of a healthcare customer that couldn’t use public cloud services. Leveraged Peak 10’s entire service portfolio to tailor the solution to the customer’s specific needs to include server management, managed edge security, backups and other managed services.Presented: Created Visio drawings of designs and integrated them into customer facing proposal documents which outlined the details of the supported design. Presented the proposals in face-to-face meetings with the customer or via WebEx.Deployed: Worked closely with local engineers for a smooth handoff of a solution to ensure correct and timely deployments. As the sole IT resource for a startup network security company:• Expanded the network of the company from one file server and no email into a robust network of Windows and Linux servers hosting email, web, development, storage and remote access services connecting employees around the world • Designed and completely wired a new office location with network and telephone cabling saving the company $10K. Project was completed ahead of schedule and users were provided with a move-in ready environment during relocation, greatly reducing downtime.• Reconfigured the existing Active Directory structure with an additional Windows 2008 forest to support the renaming of the company. This resulted in zero downtime when the company name change was announced.• Implemented a robust, certificate-based, open source VPN solution to allow employees to securely access resources remotely 24x7.• Launched a VMWare ESX server environment allowing developers to rapidly deploy virtual machines to test code, resulting in increased productivity and greatly reduced hardware costs.• Configured, deployed and maintained Windows and Linux servers, desktops and laptops. • Created an Exchange infrastructure to support users globally. • Designed a data center presence for fault tolerance of email and web services.
