About Jay Skylus

Prior to founding Aevum, Jay served as leadership at numerous commercial space launch companies. Jay's spaceflight hardware development experience spans seven rocket engines, multiple rocket test stands, six launch vehicles, and over sixty hot fire tests at Boeing, Firefly Space Systems, NASA, Moon Express, DLR, the Center for Space Plasma and Aeronomic Research, and more. Jay earned degrees in applied mathematics and physics in 2.5 years and has two international publications in nuclear thermal rockets and interplanetary shockwaves.​Jay began studying combustion dynamics in 2005 using internal combustion engines. To fund his development, Jay Skylus founded and operated a successful automotive ecommerce business on internet forums.
