I began my hotel career in 1992 as a front desk clerk at a Holiday Inn in Houston Texas while still attending high school. I remember being shy and timid at first, but I quickly came out of my shell and ended up working the front desk for 5 years before getting my first management position as an assistant restaurant manager at a Holiday Inn Select hotel. I received my degree from the University of Houston and my career continued to advance back to the rooms department and onto the General Manager level first with Holiday Inn properties and then with several Marriott properties. After 21 years at the property level, I have been in above property roles since 2013 where I believe I have really found my passion for helping grow, develop and mentor those under me while always striving to deliver superior results for property owners. Passion For Service, Drive For Success. I have a competitive spirit that desires every property I am associated with to be the absolute best version that they can be – for the employees, the guests, the brands, and the ownership. My desire is that every customer leaves wanting to come back again and each employee feels that they were valued and appreciated for the hard work that they do each day to support our efforts to be the best. It is my goal that our brand partners look to us as the example of how to do it right and that our property owners look to us as a best-in-class operator of their assets.
