• Prior to filing for bankruptcy, Luminant was the largest electric power generation company in the State of Texas.
• Administered reliability PdM programs (UE, IR, vibration, transformers and oil analysis) for critical machinery and processes at the company’s largest power generate site (2,400 MW).
• Managed all inspections and testing through daily planning and scheduling meetings; supervised 2 staff maintenance mechanics and 1 contract technician.
• Coordinated short and long term maintenance activities with operations and served as a point of contact with management for plant reliability concerns, including shut down and capital projects.
• Led root cause failure analyses to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Accomplishments:
• Prevented a brown-out in Dallas during a major ice storm by developing a filtration technique for oil analysis on a major piece of equipment, saving several million dollars and preventing PR/political fall-out.

• Snell leads the world in using infrared thermography (IR) and electrical motor testing (EMT) to reduce risk, increase up-time, save money, conserve energy, and improve the safety of equipment used in industrial settings.
• Taught Infrared Thermography and Motor Circuit Analysis courses to groups of 15-25 engineers, managers, technicians and OEM (original equipment manufacturers).
• Presented white papers at technical conferences on motor testing and infrared thermography.

• At one time, this U.S. Army depot held 45% of the total U.S. chemical weapons stockpile.
• Oversaw destruction of chemical weaponry under a top-secret clearance.
• Performed infrared and non-destructive inspections of industrial machinery and ensured the satisfactory status of equipment for another day of operation.

Alaska

• This 800-mile long pipeline has a current average flow rate of 2.1 million barrels of oil a day.
• Promoted repeatedly, from apprentice, to technician, to supervisor due to outstanding performance.
• Supervised up to 40 people, with a $3 million budget, on projects geared to detecting and mitigating corrosion on the pipeline. Accomplishment:
• Helped develop techniques to identify and mitigate external corrosion, reducing all corrosion to less than 2 mils per year, saving untold millions each year.
