Hello there! My name is Jayson Ross, and I am a Performance Analyst based in Wellington, New Zealand. I am currently working for the Hurricanes rugby team and also contract out to New Zealand Rugby to look after the Māori All Blacks, and All Blacks XV sides. I began my Performance Analysis journey in 2013 through volunteering with the Hurricanes and Wellington Rugby teams before being offered a full time opportunity towards the end of 2014 with both sides and have not looked back since! I love my job. Through it I have met some really great people, created life long friendships, had some amazing experiences, and created incredible memories that’ll last a lifetime. The variety of the role itself, the exponential growth and use of technology in the industry, along with the overall rapid growth in the field of video/data analysis across High Performance sport definitely keeps me engaged, busy and on my toes!I really enjoy developing efficient workflows, process, and workplace practices along with designing, producing and implementing visually striking, insightful, easy to follow reports, and presentations, which allow myself or others to easily digest large amounts of information and offer real value and relevant insight.
