Working with the software developer listing any additional information required and / or questions that need to be ask. Staying in contact with the client through the whole process until all information required has been received, negotiations on cost of developing the software, supplying software for testing and after sales service updates where required.

Working remotely from home I was working for a Gem dealer / Gemologist assisting him with the sales and administration side of his jewelry business and EBay business store.Duties included answering the phone, and making outbound calls from customers and potential customers. Answering questions and issues, promoting current stock, advising of current and future happenings in the jewelry industry and pointing customers in the right direction to fulfill their needs and make a sale of products available.Liaising with people who were buying new gemstones for us, advising them of what other stock was required. Advising the jewelry staff on new orders to be made and details surrounding the order.Liaising with shippers when items were ready to be shipped and informing customers that items are shipped and supplying shipping details.The customer base was English speaking people mainly in Australia with some business in USA, UK and a very small amount in other parts of the world.Reason for leaving was that due to the world’s economy the sales had dropped dramatically, people stop buying jewelry and tend to hold on to the funds they have in times like these. The jewelry side of the business was closed down and they are now concentrating on their loose stone buying and selling side.

I assisted a small group of people in Bangkok who were looking to start up a company called Global-cast Networks.My duties were contacting financial institutions in the Asia pacific area. Informing the details of the company, promoting the future view and informing them of why they should look into the opportunity. I would then arrange a face to face appointment for the directors to go and give a full presentation to the financial institution.

Philippines

I spent 2 years in the Philippines training and managing a call center of up to 80 English speaking Philippine telesales personnel. We were selling memberships to a fashion and lifestyle discount card. It had several well-known fashion and lifestyle stores linked which were found in the USA. We were calling into the US to the general public who had completed a marketing survey.

Was employed by Canon UK, West London division. Managing the stationary department, controlling a team of 5. Selling everything that goes with a photocopier and fax machine. Customers included the big copier shops, small to medium businesses and all new photocopier / fax machine customers.The stationary sales process for all of Canons stationary got centralized and outsourced to be controlled by a third party. I was involved in setting up and training staff in the centralization and once it was running smoothly I handed over to the third party entity to continue.
