The Executive Assistant will provide high-level support to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the day-to-day management of the Information technology operations of the University. The Executive Assistant acts as a key advisor to the CIO and provides assistance and coordination on a variety of executive and administrative projects, including those of a sensitive and complex nature. The position requires a well-organized, creative generalist interested and effective in the details of IT administration in the executive level. I also served as the Chief Information Security Officer in 2009-2010.Special Knowledge: - Knowledge of computer science and the IT industry - Institutional business practice (funding, budgeting, encumbrance, priority setting, etc.) - Understanding of University politics - Project management theory, skills, processes and methodology

Provides leadership, integrative management, and direction for the University's shared information systems, to include institution-wide strategic planning, budgeting for information technologies, and coordination and integration of all University IT matters. Recommends IT policy at the highest level. Serves as the University's senior spokesperson on issues related to administrative, student support, clinical, and academic information systems, and serves as a member of the Presidents executive cabinet.Bachelor’s degree; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.At least 10 years experience in managing technology in a higher education environment with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.

Managed and supervised all academic and administrative computing areas. Responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, personnel management, IT procurement and vendor relationships. Reported directly to the President.
