My job was to be the lead, SME of vSphere, Lefthand and SANiq, and Cisco UCS respectively, as well as to optimize and upgrade all of these as the Data Center specialist. Tools used such as PowerShell, vCLI, ESXcli, VMWare Upgrade Manager (VUM), deploy VMWare Orchestrator, administer the vhost servers (Cisco blades) and storage consisting of Lefthand / HP DL380s, P4000x and ProLiant DL iSCSI storage servers. Extensive use of iLO, Windows Server platforms, Red Hat Enterprise 6.x+ servers, and various virtual appliances from vmware based primarily on Suse Linux. Backup administrator for Unitrends Virtual Backup, Microsoft Data Protection Manager and long term off-site backups with Tivoli Storage Manager in remote data center.
