Advising fund on healthcare and technology investments

• Private advisory management consulting to hospital systems, payers, and healthcare technology vendors. I have been doing this since 2011 and it became my primary focus in June 2022. Some examples of engagements:
• Advised a west-coast hospital system over two years on strategy and operations for No Surprises Act, Info Blocking, Interoperability, and HIEs
• Developed a commercial analysis for a major RCM company on their potential position as a data vendor in the emerging Real World Evidence market
• Led the operational readiness for a hospital system who direct contracted with an employer to offer payment bundles
• Advised a payer technology company on the challenges and solutions for payers working with data about providers

• Led the Strategy team, which included all the solution owners (product leadership and management). Brought disruption and innovation along with the vision and strategy, reported directly to the head of the healthcare.
• Drafted vision, created the strategy to accomplish that vision, and then led and ensured accountability around the execution of the strategy
• Despite the market impact of COVID, lead the largest single year growth ever in the company’s history (12% YoY, 50% greater than budget)
• Recruited, built, and trained an entirely new team of 22 people to lead all the solutions, the most gender and racially diverse team in the business
• Led the creation of 6 new areas of business; 3 were revenue producing within 9 months

• Developed strategy for entire healthcare vertical, a $3B business unit in 2018 with 36,500 worldwide employees; focused on investment options across products and services to accelerate growth.
• Founded and led a brand-new consulting practice around a new form of healthcare data interoperability, from concept to market success o Led and built the practice from inception to $100M revenue in less than a year o.
• Authored strategy for shift into Medical Cost of Care (projected $1B over 4 years)

• Leader of product management and development for TranZform, a de novo product suite that administers consumerism and payment reform for payers and providers.
• Largest development effort ever undertaken by the healthcare product group
• Managed 220 direct and indirect reports with a P/L of $22M/year; mixed on/off shore
• Turnaround role; created missing product vision, strategy, and roadmap; reworked product development; delivered leadership and restored morale

• Provided strategic management consulting to payers and providers on payment reform policy and technology operations. For example: at major IDN, led project to develop payment reform business strategy and technology.
