SummCo received the Rising Star designation from Fastsigns International, Inc., and I was asked to participate in the FII strategic plan, providing input from a corporate perspective on their plan based on my prior position. In February of 2009, I completed the acquisition of Sign Pro and moved all production in to our current facility. In May of 2009 I released the announcement of our relocation into a 3600 sq. ft. facility that will provide a major advantage over our competition. FY2009 will show gross sales of over $550k. My department was also responsible for our consumer products marketing and sales and the negotiation and contracting with hospital group purchasing organizations. It was my job to manage these relationships for long term growth and profitability. During my tenure as the leader of this department, it was the fastest growing segment of the company.My department provided the contract negotiation, sales and marketing relative to Sunrise Medical's large distributors. I was responsible for slightly under $100 million in sales across all of our product categories, with an emphasis on personal care and respiratory products. My departments' consumer products responsibilities included package design, marketing, promotion and sales, primarily to the chain drug industry. A vice president of retail programs reporting directly to me led this department. My department also provided the contracting and coordination with the sales force for all GPO relationships. A vice president of group sales reporting directly to me led the GPO department. In addition to the management of the department, I personally retained several large distributor accounts in the drug wholesale, medical/surgical and long term care industry.Sales for fiscal year ended June 30, 1999 were up 18% over prior year for customers maintained by my department.
