Assistant Chemical Technologist

-Assist in conducting chemical tests and analyses on water samples to assess and monitor water quality parameters, including pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, chlorine levels, and other relevant indicators.-Support the optimization and adjustment of chemical dosing rates based on laboratory test results and plant operational requirements.-Participate in the collection of representative samples from various treatment process points, ensuring adherence to sampling protocols and standard operating procedures.-Collaborate with the Chemical Technologist in analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential process improvements.-Maintain accurate records of laboratory test results, process data, chemical usage, and other relevant information in accordance with established protocols.-Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and accuracy.-Aid in the implementation and monitoring of quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.-Support the development and revision of standard operating procedures and protocols related to chemical testing and process control.-Collaborate with plant staff to identify and address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.-Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in water treatment technologies, chemical processes, and regulatory requirements.-Performs standard laboratory tests relating to organic, in-organic and physical chemistry such as BOD, COD, MLSS, SVI, SS, Hh, Chlorine Residuals, etc.-Operates all standard equipment and apparatus normally found in a laboratory for Water/ Wastewater Treatment - chemical, physical and analytical apparatus and instruments.
