Technical work: My research focused on development of a novel therapeutic treatment using 177 Lu-PSMA radioligand therapy and checkpoint blockade for prostate cancer (PCa). This treatment will be especially useful towards patients with metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).Non-technical work:- Involved in a multi-collaborative project involving dual-center communication, requiring multitasking and scheduled presentations.- Secured multiple university graduate awards ($12000) between Sep 2017-Dec 2018- Consecutive First prize poster-presentation winner for 2018 and 2019 BCMB Grad Symposium.- Lead Event Organizer for Biochemistry/Microbiology (BCMB) Graduate Symposium which included event fundraising, logistics and implementation. - Graduate Finance Committee member: Included drafting and reviewing the yearly budget, identifying financial risks, advising on cost-effectiveness and long-term planning.

- Provided educational and laboratorial instruction as a guest lecturer in the of form multimedia presentations to classes of 25+.- Graded class material efficiently and accurately on short turnaround for classes of up to 100.- Available to advise students on improvements to their assignments and exams.- Compiled and reviewed course material for instructors.

As a student caller, I called alumni of UVIC to support different funds available throughout different university programs.

- Dr. Stokes' research focused on Tetrodotoxin (TTX), a neurotoxin found in organisms suchas newts and puffer fish.- Assisted Dr. Stokes and another graduate student to observe the effect of stress on theamount of TTX produced by the organisms.- Also assisted with using an improved immunoassay for quantification of TTX which iscost effective and also has a higher degree of accuracy.

- Involved with helping Pre-dental students with applications, DAT study preps and helping students plan courses.- Invite and network with local dentists to come and talk about their experience. - Manage and design fundraisers to go to elementary schools for proper dental education.

- Originally selected to be part of the REVS-UP (Research Experience Vitalizing ScienceUniversity Program) which allows high-school students to pursue their interest in researchat a university level with various professors. As a first year student, I was invited to workwith him and his lab.- Assisted Dr. Lopez in performing various laboratory techniques involved withcharacterization of an enzyme, Lysyl Oxidase. Characterization uses spectroscopictechniques such as: fluorescence, UV-vis absorption and crystallography.- Learned cloning techniques, PCR and gel electrophoresis to grow and observe the proteinin bacterial cells while also maintaining in-vivo environment for protein extraction.

- Research Lead for Satisfaction Survey study. Included meeting with patients from all different social and economic backgrounds to inquire about their treatment at the hospital. Collected data was analyzed and presented to Hospital management for future changes. - Assisted with the Arterial Line study at Kern Medical. The study was involved with comparing failure and success rates between insertions of femoral vs radial arterial lines in patients. - Assisted with data collections for blood culture study. This was a multi-center observational study to compare IRIDCA BAC BSI assay results of whole blood specimens to normal blood cultures.
