Jayvee De Leon Email and Phone Number
Ever since I was a child, I have had a strong passion for cars. This passion only grew stronger when my father established a car trading company while I was in high school. While in college,I became involved in the business.Through this experience, I had the opportunity to work with various car brands, makes and models on a regular basis, it was also through this involvement that I discovered the power of marketplaces.During that time the platform was known as Ayosdito and later rebranded as OLX,eventually it was acquired by Carousell, It was an incredibly effective tool that allowed our business to expand and reduced our operating cost. The idea of using a platform to connect users from both sides of the market inspired me to start my own marketplace, specifically for cars.Forent is a peer to peer car sharing marketplace that empowers car owners to generate income by renting out their vehicles when not in use, rather than letting them sit idle in the garage and lose value. At the same time, it offers affordable and convenient transportation for all.Prior to starting Forent, I began my career immediately after college as a crew member at a fast food chain, I quickly moved up the ranks being promoted to marketing manager, dining manager and kitchen manager and eventually becoming the youngest restaurant manager in under 2 years, at the age of 21.I was responsible for managing all aspects of the business including budgeting, forecasting, personnel management and P&L.Eager to learn new knowledge and skills, I stepped out of my comfort zone and began a career in a completely different industry, as a financial advisor in BDO, the country’s largest bank, I quickly became one of their top financial advisors managing the bank’s High Net Worth clients. after 5 years, I left the company on the brick of being promoted to a leadership position. My aspiration has always been to establish impactful company from the ground up. Accepting a high-paying position would distract me from this goal, to me it felt like a bribe to abandon my dream.I then founded my own car trading business and was able to grow it from 0 to $500k ARR within 2 years until the pandemic hit, which forced my company to go out of business.During the peak of the pandemic,I returned to my previous profession and took on a leadership role as a unit head at AXA Philippines. In July of 2021, I quit my high-paying job at AXA to pursue my own idea full-time, As a result, I created the Philippines' largest peer to peer car sharing marketplace within just a few months of launching operations.
