Responsible for leading the team that creates the preparation resources and presentations for the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator-Advanced (CHSE-A) and Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

Strategic planning and execution of system wide learning efforts to improve healthcare outcomes. Provided leadership for an integrated clinical learning infrastructure that includes Simulation, Learning Consulting, Learning Management System and Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Nursing Continuing Education (CE).

Served as a faculty member for both the residency elective and on scholarship oversight committees for Pediatrics Fellows. Created and implemented a novel in-situ TeamSTEPPS program for the entire children's hospital. Additionally we created specialized ECMO training and improved patient handoff from the OR to the ICU.

In this position I managed day to day operations and the creation of a simulation based learning infrastructure across the Yale New Haven Health System (3 hospitals). In addition to management duties, I created the faculty development series entitled Foundations in Experiential Learning, and an Optimized RN Orientation resulting in a 20% reduction in orientation length.

Oversaw and taught the EMS Education for Disenfranchised Youth program that was funded by the Workforce Investment Act. This unique program provided opportunities for disenfranchised youth aged 18-21 to become EMTs and obtain jobs in EMS including 911 Dispatch.

Created VolunteerFD.org, a national resource for volunteer fire departments across the US. Wrote and spoke nationally on all aspects of volunteering including leadership and management, fundraising, recruitment and retention, grants and SOGs/SOPs.
